Jim Candler, PA-C
Jim Candler is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in Orthopedics at Sterling Medical group. He is a Central Florida native who graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science/Athletic Training.
Jim then spent 11 years working as a Certified Athletic Trainer for one of the Southeast’s premier gymnastics programs providing sports medicine care to the athletes as well as acting as an assistant coach. He then set a new goal, wanting to be able to provide healthcare to all types of patients beyond the athletic population and was accepted into Nova Southeastern University’s Physician Assistant Program. He graduated from the Orlando Campus with a Master’s Degree in Medical Science-Physician Assistant Studies.
As a Physician Assistant, Jim works collaboratively with Dr. Richard Valenzuela, Orthopedic Surgeon, to provide excellent care through patient assessment, interpretation of medical imaging and tests, diagnosing illness and injuries, development of treatment plans, performing in office procedures, prescribing medications, and first-assisting with surgery. Jim looks forward to being part of the team effort guiding you through the patient-provider experience here at Sterling Medical Group with the goal of helping you navigate your road to recovery.
