About Jim Candler
Jim earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and Athletic Training from the University of Central Florida. He then spent 11 years as a Certified Athletic Trainer for a leading gymnastics program, providing sports medicine care and serving as an assistant coach.
He later earned a Master’s Degree in Medical Science–Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University’s Orlando campus. At Sterling, Jim works collaboratively with orthopedic surgeon Dr. Richard Valenzuela in patient assessment, interpretation of medical imaging and testing, treatment planning, office procedures, medication management, and surgical assistance.
