About Henry Ruiz
Dr. Ruiz began his medical studies at Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in Morelia, Mexico. He completed a general surgery internship at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, followed by a neurosurgery residency at the Semmes-Murphy Clinic at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.
His experience includes conventional and image-guided craniotomies; spinal discectomy, decompression, and fusion; conventional and minimally invasive spine surgery; peripheral nerve surgery; pain neuromodulation; spinal cord stimulation; and intrathecal infusion pump therapy. He has also served as president of the Alabama Neurosurgical Society.
